I booked private classes at the ELE USAL School on very short notice and was very well consulted by the student advisor from Language International which ended up in me booking eight days of private classes that rounded up to 24 hours of Spanish lessons. Me as a 25 year old university student myself was very happy about being paired with my absolute great teacher Claudia at ELE USAL who was only a few years older than be and teached me so much in such short time.
I had three lessons per day which we agreed on doing two at the beginning, then a 20 min break and then continuing with another session, so 2x 50 min - 20 min break - 1x 50 min. This structure worked great with me.
Over the eight days Claudia and I covered a lot of topics and grammar, in the beginning starting with grammar and then later taking up on more of the talking freely. Here Claudia included topics of my studies which really kept me motivated and engaged and additionally me being able to talk and learn about my studies in Spanish, something I didn't expect me being able to do so early.
Upon me signing up for my classes I estimated my Spanisch level on A2, and upon my arrival on my first day Claudia assessed my level further and quickly adjusted my exercises and contents accordingly to my learning curve and topics of interest throughout the week. Therefore we covered a lot of content and grammar leading to me leaving the Spanisch classes tired but very motivated and optimistic.
The school is located in the heart of Palma with many possibilities of cafeterias and supermarkets in the area to grab a bocadillo or lunch or a cold drink in your break. The facility itself offered everything you needed and even had a small library where you could get books with further exercises, exam preparation or just for reading in Spanish. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and encouraging.

I really enjoyed my classes at ELE USAL, especially due to Claudia. I am already thinking about when I will book my next classes!! I can only recommend.

We enjoyed the overall experience of having 2 tutors who employed different methods. They helped us to practise speaking the Spanish language, using simple and repeated exercises.

Good location because We live nearby. Nice bright classrooms.
Good teachers, however I am not fond of working in pairs with other classmates. They dont
Know if what we are saying is correct and neither do I.

The teaching was good and the level well adapted but the temperature wasn’t well controlled, no air conditioning and it was too hot

I cannot review housing as I arranged my own. The classes were very good. I felt continually challenged, but never feared being left behind. I would definitely recommend the school to others. I especially liked the non linear nature of the course. We used the textbooks, but skipped around in the book, taking time for extemporaneous discussions in class. I felt like it was am very natural and effective teaching technique. Our profesora was friendly and informative and in my opinion a great teacher.

Confusing start of the week, with way too many students in each class, we split after two day and it was much better.

Ester, our teacher, was excellent: always full of energy, very patient explaining thing as many times as required for the information to sink in, well prepared for all classes and good at using mixed methods of communication (whiteboard, graphics, audio recordings and video.) It was impossible to get bored or feel overloaded with new words and grammar and Ester's enthusiasm for her subject was infectious.

I signed up for the Intensive 10 course and would recommend taking the Intensive 20 as the same students are in both levels so those on Intensive 10 miss the second half of the morning's lessons. For my last week I signed up for the whole morning and it was well worth it to be able to practice more and to have another couple of hours hearing only Spanish.

Our class's age range ran from 21 to 70, with three people, including myself, over 60. Anyone who is reticent to go back to school because of their age, think again and plunge in!

I travelled in from central Mallorca every day on the train which is cheap and efficient. The walk from Placa d'Espagne station to the school really is only 10 mins and such a pleasure to be walking along the beautiful streets of Palma.

By studying in a group as opposed to individually one learns a lot from other people in the class not only about grasping the language but also about what is going on in Mallorca, where to eat, what to see etc., which all helps to make the experience so much more enjoyable.

The school itself is modern, clean and the facilities are good. The staff is helpful and overall there is a nice atmosphere. ELE USAL offers very good value for money.

I attended this doble intensive course (level B1) only for one week, but despite this I learned quite a lot. Particulary speaking spanish whole the time was very useful for me. I had five clases four hours each in groups and two hours per day private conversations. The teachers were very good and I liked the contact with the student colleagues from different countries. The location of the school is reachable only 1 km from the center of the town. In the future I plan to attend an other course but perhaps of longer duration.

Placed in a beginner group at first, i have been able and authorised to change group, and i have been really supported.

teachers proposed 2 cultural outings during the week I was in class. I attended these outings and it was a real complement to the class.

Signing up for the class was a bit confusing because on the website it is not clear that Language International and the actual school are different entities. Separately owned. Language International gets a percentage of what is paid to the school.
Also it is advertised as two classes per day when it is actually one.

I enjoyed the classes but I wish there were more older adults. The teachers were all great. The location is fine if you are close to Palma, but I wish there were a school on the east side of the island as it was 2 hours of driving every day. This is why I only registered for one week. Also parking is a pain in this location.

The facility could use some comfortable chairs and some tables. my class had only tiny desks not even big enough for the class book- let alone to be able to write. And try sitting in one of those chairs for several hours. Not good.

I went to the museum as the activity and it was great. Loved our guide/teacher as well as the art and the history of the building

Overall it was a nice experience but I likely won't come back do to how far away it is from where I stay.

A very nice school with good courses, very good books and fantastic teachers!

I had a really good week, even though we were only two students. it was the first week in January and things weren´t propably the way they normaly run. We did not have the afternoon progrramm etc. After all i liked the teachers a lot, the spirit, the school and facilites. It was close to my hotel and could walk within five minutes.
I will come back and continue.

Both my husband and I followed a 3-week intensive course at ELE USAL Palma. The classes were interesting, the teaching was professional and the activities varied. My husband would have benefited from being at the right level tover the 3 weeks but unfortunately there wasn't a B2 class the whole time we were there.
We did not say in accommodation provided by the school so can't provide feedback.

Professional teacher who only spook Spanish which is very good. Nice size on class. Good facilities and central location.

Really liked the classes, time flew by. The teachers were really good. I had Pilar for 4 days, she was really nice and good at teaching. Also very enjoyable. The subsitute teacher for the last day was really good as well. Feel like i have really learned a lot.

The facilities in school were good. Also the book and possibility to lend it was nice.

The accommodation was okay, not really luxury but then i also havent payed that much so it was good enough for the price it costs. The single room was really nice though! Especially the van since it was really hot inside and the ac didnt make it into the room. An ac would be better ofcourse. The thing i did not like was the bathroom, the toilet did not flush and the shower was not much water. But still overall experience and price wise was really okay!

I also think the contact in the beginning with Magdalena was really nice. She was really helpful and quick with responding. Made my first day really good. Also the help before the trip by email is really helpful and nice.

Thank you for everything and perhaps you will see me somewhere in the future!

The classes were very good and I learned what I needed to pass my Spanish exam at my school. The location of the house was also good but communication with the lady who welcomed me was not always easy.

What I really missed are group activities with people my age: I would have liked to go to the pool, the beach, play soccer or visit the old town... I found myself very lonely and without the possibility of contacting young people .In the end my mother had to organize snorkeling and other things from Switzerland.

It’s a good school with friendly teachers. I learned a great deal of Spanish which was really nice. You can rent a book but no material is provided. Classes are small so you can converse a lot. Although it says 16+, I would not recommend to anyone below 20 because there are no teenagers, youngest are around 18-20 so quite a disappointment for my 16-year-old self. There are some activities organized by the school like visiting the cathedral or castle but only a small amount of people join if anyone at all. I stayed with a mother and her six-year-old son. She was very kind to me, brought me along with her to various beaches and restaurants. Her apartment is in a great location and I had my own room which was nice. She has a dog and two cats so it can get a little loud and unhygienic. The food was okay.

Procedure: The first hour at the Spanish school, I took an oral to confirm the level that I had indicated when I registered. We were 3 students during the week (from level 5 (level 1 to level 5 (the highest)). 3h30 of lessons in the morning from a textbook bought or rented on site. 2 sequences were covered during the week mixing reading, text comprehension, application exercises Themes of the sequences then accentuated orally (exchanges between the students).
The school also offers 2 activities per week after class: a cultural visit and an outdoor culinary educational activity.
The teacher is competent, helpful and pleasant. She also speaks English.

The school is located in the city center near the national police center! Reassuring...

I was staying at the Palladium hotel 3 minutes away on foot.

To conclude, I liked this week of superintensive courses and I would like to renew it with pleasure...

I had one to one lecturing. It was a great experience with my two tutors. This summer I like to continue.

Location was good. Teacher was very nice. Would have been better if there were more people my age

Small class sizes allowed for more interaction with teacher and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Varied learning activities provided by teachers made lessons more interesting. Location of the school was great - walkable distance from accommodation

I liked everything, especially my teacher Pepe, who movement from grammatik to colloquial Castellan.
