Popis kurzu

Introductory and advanced workshops will introduce students to all phases of the writing process, including idea generation, writing and revising drafts and editing.

Discover writing through a range of projects including essays, short stories and poetry
Study the work of renowned writers and discover your own voice
Find out how to use the world around you as a source of ideas and inspiration
Benefit from regular and extensive writing practice and balanced critical evaluation
See your work in print by contributing to the publication - The ISSOS Times
Students will write extensively and the course is intended for those who want to understand and harness the forces of creative language to produce original poems, scenes from a play or movie, song lyrics and short stories.

Students will challenge themselves creatively and learn to write in a truly inspiring environment.

ISSOS se nachází v New Haven a je jednou z nejoblíbenějších škol v USA. Škola se specializuje na výuku !of Anglicky pro zahraniční studenty, jako Vy. Velikost školních tříd je velmi malá (20 students maximum) a působící učitelé jsou rodilí mluvčí !of Anglicky. Our summer program at the prestigious Yale University is located in New Haven, Connecticut. The campus is set on 265 acres and provides many amenities for students during their stay. More importantly, Yale provides a safe campus where students can enjoy a certain amount of freedom and experience everything it has to offer. Yale's University campus provides students with the opportunity to explore the many University buildings, shop in the small university town that plays host to some well-known brands as well as other boutique shops, and enjoy the variety of cafes and restaurants.

ISSOS International Summer Schools are amazing. The staff are incredibly welcoming. The teachers are engaging and encouraging and their classes are interesting and dynamic. The accommodation is safe and comfortable. The location was wonderful and there is the opportunity to go on fun and interesting trips. I would recommend ISSOS to anyone who wants to practise and improve their English skills, study interesting academic and elective classes, meet friends from lots of different nationalities and have so much fun!

ISSOS at Yale is set within the grounds of Yale University. Students are housed in the historic Trumbull College which provides them with a very comfortable and safe ‘home away from home’ for the duration of the three-week program. Trumbull is one of Yale’s most beautiful and most intimate residential colleges. It is said that James Gamble Rogers, who designed nine of Yale’s twelve residential colleges, considered Trumbull his masterpiece.

All students will be housed in Trumbull College with its oak paneled common room facilities, libraries and lawns that students can take full advantage of during their stay.
